Getting to Treasure Cay

 

Treasure Cay is on the island of Great Abaco, Bahamas. Abaco is located about 175 miles east of West Palm Beach. The island is almost 130 miles long and yet is less than 15 miles wide, with a total population of about 15,000 people.

Both commercial and charter flight service is available direct to Treasure Cay on several airlines from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and Orlando. Treasure Cay has its own airport just 7 miles from the resort area. It typically takes 15 minutes to reach our villa. Taxi service typically costs $35 for two with additional fees for extra passengers.

Alternatively you can fly to the NEW Marsh Harbour Airport which offers more flights. A taxi ride from Marsh Harbour to our villa in Treasure Cay covers 25 miles and takes about 30 minutes. The cost from Marsh Harbour to Treasure Cay is approximately $85.

All visitors must have a valid national passport to enter or exit the Bahamas. No other forms of identification will be accepted for entry into the Bahamas, or back into the United States or another country.

 

Getting Around Treasure Cay and Abaco

 

Rental cars are somewhat available. They run approximately $85 a day plus gas.

 

Remember one drives on the LEFT side of the road in the Bahamas.

 

We recommend renting a golf cart during your stay if you are adventurous and especially if you plan on playing golf.

 

Bicycles are also a great way to get around.

 

Otherwise taxi service is readily available from the hotel parking lot .
